Dream Story: Meet Diva Stephanie Woodard-Majors

M_92deb1ff7ff6398a01d9c60b4845236bWhat's my philosophy on life? Make it memorable!

There is a certain empowerment and pleasure that comes with knowing that I'm making the most of each moment of my life. Love those designer shoes? Buy 'em! Want to be vice president of a company? Go for it! Go back to school to get a master's? Why not?!

My challenge in life is not "dreaming too small." My challenge is having the time to do it all and make it all meaningful. As a mother of three, I am always on the go. But, I stay young and energized by always pursuing my heart's desires. Regardless of nay-sayers, negative comments, or down right mean-spirited people, I've learned that if I believe it, I can achieve it.

The Other Woman, Introducing Author Chemistry

We wish to introduce Chemistry, a curvy, 32 year old single mother of two who resides in Alabama. She has been pursuing her passion for the past three years, writing, and we are thrilled to be debuting her short story, The Other Woman, in Venus Diva Magazine.

The daily life of the other woman depicts what goes on day-to-day when you are indeed the other woman. Many women can relate to being in a situation where the man that you are involved with is indeed married, and not yours.

I was what you would probably say "A kept woman." In all fairness I was in love with this man. I was at his every beck and call and I thought if I gave him what he wanted, he would give me what I needed. "I love you," he would always say, and I would leap with joy and pleasure on the inside.

New Study Says First Kiss is Key

Many men and women try to look their best and show their winning personalities to impress their dates, yet according to a new study released by the University of Albany, the kiss itself can have profound consequences for romantic relationships.

In a sample of 1,041 college students, many respondents reported that even if they were attracted to someone, if the kiss felt awkward to them, they were no longer interested in pursuing a relationship.

Ecology of Love: Don't Forget to 'Show Up' by Wendy Strgar

When I teach about the Ecology of Love and talk about the water that lives between people I often use the term "showing up" to describe the flow that happens in relationships. In relationships, like the ocean, there is an ebb and tide to how we are present for each other, but if the water in the relationship is always out, then both people feel alone more often than they feel like there is someone at their back. Many people go through years in partnerships where the experience of loneliness is profound. It is something that I struggle with in my own marriage, each of us having a different sense of what togetherness means and how much of it we need.

Global Adventurer? Soccer Coach? Add to Your Resume!

Tara Dooling has impeccable credentials. She spent eight years working her way up the corporate ladder to become account director at one of New York's leading advertising agencies. She then moved to the client side of the business to become vice president of marketing for one of the nation's leading retailers. There is no doubt about it: Tara's resume is impressive. However, the most interesting entry on Tara's c.v. is the six months she spent traveling around the world.

Plus Model Suz Lyons Cutting Up in the Kitchen

Hey, all. This month, the menu reflects my roots in San Antonio. Typically, Mexican food gets a bad name for being high in fat, but there are easy ways to cut the fat and calories in many of the tastiest recipes without losing the flavor. Here are a couple of my favorite, with tips on how to make them a little spicier (for those who dare)!
