Aerobic vs. Anaerobic Training by Krista Henderson

This month, I want to teach you the difference between aerobic vs. anaerobic exercise zones, including when to use them, how to determine which zone you are in and clear up the biggest myth regarding The Fat Burning Zone.

The word "aerobic" means "with oxygen". Oxygen is required to move your large muscles (i.e. quadriceps in your legs) in an exercise motion for a significant period of time. The majority of people's daily exercise should occur aerobically; therefore it's important to understand its properties.

Relax Curvy Girl! And do so at your desk!

While looking at the computer, lift your right shoulder up and try to touch it to your right ear.
Hold for 3 counts and then drop the shoulder.
Now lift the left ear to the left shoulder.
Hold for 3 counts and then drop the shoulder.
Now slowly raise both shoulders as high as you can.
Hold for 3 counts, and then very slowly relax the shoulders completely.
