Meet Photograher Sita Mae Edwards
In this issue we want to introduce you to photographer, Sita Mae Edwards, the genius behind this month's cover!
[Maddy] You are well known for your artistic images and unique eye, when did you begin to pursue a career in photography?
[Sita] I first picked up the camera two years ago, under the tutelage of Jason Fassnacht, a Northern Californian painter and art photographer. Being mentored by him honed my inclination to pursue photography not just as a set of technical skills, but as an art.

In this month's article we are addressing the issues of model/photographer contracts and rights. I am introducing a wonderful photographer, Ted D'Ottavio.
When did you first start photography?
On May 9, 1990 I photographed a model at Waveney Estate in New Canaan, CT. That location is simply classic, I would love shoot there again. It wasn't long after that that I dug out my father's enlarger and trays and began mixing the chemistry and making prints.

Modeling Scams, PLUS Speaks Out…
Well ladies... I had not planned on writing a monthly column on modeling scams, but with the wake of what has been happening on the net, unfortunately, there seems to be a lot to report!
Over this past month, we were instrumental in having a scammer shut down on a website only to find that he has many hiding places! We have heard from numerous women advising that this scam artist is still alive and well and preying on unsuspecting victims set on making their dreams come true! Shut out of one site on the net, he is still haunting the likes of myspace.com, yahoo forums, yuwie.com, modelmayhem.com, tagged.com and others. He is claiming to be looking for models for paid assignments in the UK and advises women that he produces PLUS Model magazine.

Every plus model strives to have a flat, smooth stomach. Some of us were blessed with a body that naturally places fat in other areas, such as our hips and thighs. But many others have a propensity to store fat in our abdominal area.
Not all diets are created equal. We have all heard of the low fat, low carb, low calorie crazes that seem to recreate themselves in different forms and names every few years. But why do some diets and exercise programs work well for others, while other show minimal effects?

On October 4th, I had the distinct pleasure to participate in the launching of Lil' Mama clothing (www.lilmama.com.au) at Crash Mansion in Hollywood, California. Lil' Mama is an "Australian Made" fashion label founded by Australian entertainer "Mamajugs" (aka Chantelle) from the Kyle and Jackie O show on the Austereo network.
